Theme: Back to the Praxis!
Mito is the capital city of Ibaraki prefecture and famous for the Kairaku-en garden. The garden, one of the three major gardens in Japan, was constructed by the Nariaki Tokugawa (branch family of Shogun and the last feudal lord of Mito clan) in 1842 and is full of plum trees, which represent the learning and study. However, not many people are interested in getting higher degrees in Japan. It shows the knowledge and scholor are losing their trust. Also, there has been a long dis-communication between theory and practice in education. And recent cooperate works seem to only probe the effectiveness without critical attitudes. We need to go back to the basic that our research activity should contribute to the children's develeopment. This is our only way to restore confidence.
